Most of the floors are covered with high quality red-brown ceramic tiles from Portugal. Parquet flooring has been installed in two bedrooms. Solar water heating systems are installed on both houses. The ceilings of the living room-kitchen and the guest house are open with visible roof trusses in natural wood. Bedrooms and bathrooms also have wooden ceilings and are about 2.30m high. The furniture is mostly handmade of heavy solid oak. The house has about 60 cm thick exterior walls of natural stone, plastered. The doors and windows are aluminum and single glazed. Heating is not common here. The roof was newly covered with "monk and nun" in ceramic tiles. It was insulated and overhauled in November 2012.
