| This hunting lodge is located amidst forests and in a romantic landscape of the Sokolov district of Karlovy Vary region, near the so-called west-bohemian spa triangle. The lodge was initially constructed as a summer residence upon the wish of a countess of the Nostiz noble family. It is in a flat landscape at the foot of the Krušné Hory (Ore Mountains) and was built in the late 18th century. Around one hundred years later, Count Erwin Nostiz ordered the dilapidated rococo structure to be replaced by a new, neo-classical building. After the neo-classical reconstruction, the lodge acquired its current form as a three winged structure with a courtyard in the center. In front of the courtyard is a terrace with stone stairs with two male statues that are slightly bigger than life-size. |
