| This house radiates tradition, solidarity and comfort. The house was built in the beginning of the 1870s. It is on the edge of a small village (40 inhabitants) in the Baronie. It offers a fantastic view of the Pyrenees. The builder of this house was born on the 1st of May, 1812 (the year Napolean had his defeat in Moscow) in this village and was later part of 11th infantry regiment and was Napoleon III's Capitaine. In 1868 he bid farewell to the armed forces (among other things, he was a knight of the Legion of Honor and and honored knight of the medal of Savoy) and went back to his home town where he could build a house according to his plans. He was also involved in the community and acted as mayor of the municipality. The house accomodated the post office as well. Floor plans are at the end of the pictures series. |
