This house is located on the town border of Sta. Margalida in the north of the island of Mallorca.
Sta. Margalida is the county seat of Can Picafort and Son Serra de Marina in the bay of Alcudia.
The bay of Alcudia is one of the most popular destinations on Mallorca and has the longest coherent sandy beach of the island.
Sta. Margalida is one of few towns on the island where the Mallorcans have still retained their old traditions. However, they gladly accept new residents into their way of life.
Here you can live happily with foreign co-inhabitants and celebrate Fiestas in the market-place, which is only a few minutes away by foot.
The house itself is a three-family house with three floors. The apartment is in the 2nd upper floor of this new building. The house is fitted out with an elevator, which is very rare on the island. The enormous terrace is intended only for this house and is documented in the land register. One can enjoy uninhibited sun bathing and naturally the delightful panoramic view.
You can see the Tramuntana mountains, with an indescribable panorama. Also there is the view of the roofs of Sta. Margalida with its wonderful, unique church.
The staircase itself is fitted out with ceramic marble steps and offers a lot of light through the hall windows. The elevator goes into the first and second upper floors.
Through the apartment doors you get into the hall where there are many doors to the other rooms.
On the left hand is the kitchen, with a connected, open washer space. On the right hand is the living room and dining room with a small balcony.
Behind the kitchen is a small bedroom which one could use, however, as a separate dining room. Behind it is a spacious bathroom and another bedroom. Behind the living room there is another hall to the big bedroom with its own bathroom. This bathroom is very spacious and is fitted out with modern decor.
All dormitories have closets with wood sliding doors.
The floor in the whole house is lined with beautiful terracotta tiles.
The modern kitchen and both bathrooms are tiled to the ceilings.
The kitchen is fitted out with modern, solid unit furniture and an electric oven with ceramic stove top.
The windows have insulating glaze and aluminium frames.
The heating in the whole house consists of an environment-friendly, energy-saving climate control with warm and cold setttings.
The front doors are from a very good quality Nordic pinewood.
The sunroof is laid out with tiles and is accessible only to the house owner.
The traffic accessibility to Saint Margalida is very good.
It is only a few minutes by car to the beach of Son Serra de Marina, or to Can Picafort.
The beach of Muro, with its natural protected dunes, is easily attainable.
There are footpaths all around Sta. Margalida.
To Inca, the "leather city" with its new modern hospital, it is approx. 12 kilometers.
In this state hospital there are interpreters.
To the airport it is only a good half an hour by car. Bus accessibility to the cities of Inca and Palma also exists.
In the neighboring city of Muro is a private, modern hospital. The medical care is good in this region. |
