This lovingly restored Mallorcan village house is in the heart of the bay of Alcudia in the northern part of the island of Mallorca. The northern part of the island is very popular with people who like a special, romantic ambiance. The bay of Alcudia is the second largest bay of the island, however, it has the longest coherent sandy beach. The bay is popular with the natives and guests equally because you can wade very far into the sea as the slope of the bank drops very gently. It is not too hot in the summertime here because a cool breeze is always blowing. The corner of the island offers the rich beauty like the north of the island. On the northeast side, one finds the mountains of Arta with their beautiful secluded bays and footpaths. Near Alcudia is la Victoria with its well invested forest paths where one can still find old charcoal burner's huts. At the most northern end of the island is Cap Formentor, with probably the most beautiful lookout points. The restaurants here are of the highest quality. The north of the island has a multiplicity of protected areas, which one usually does not expect on an island of this kind. But that is enough about the island, back to the town of Saint Margalida where this beautiful village house lies. Saint Margalida has its own contact partner for its non-Spanish inhabitants. Many nationalities live here together. There are many parties and gatherings where people can share their different cultures. Weekly in the town is a big market and a small vegetable market where citizens of the town can buy fresh goods. In Saint Magdalina there is also a continuing school. The medical care is very good. The Spanish health care comes in second to no other northern health care systems. There are also many German or German speaking doctors and dentists. In Inca, the next bigg city, a new hospital will soon be opened for the inhabitants of the surrounding municipalities. A private hospital with interpreters fro different languages is only a few kilometers away in the neighboring municipality of Muro. In Inca a lot of leather shops can naturally be found. The house itself is on a one-way street with very little traffic. The floor space of the house is approx. 100 square meters and property surfaces are approx. 180 square meters. The house was built completely new approx. 9 years ago and has been well maintained. The German owners are selling because they want to move back to Germany. Therefore, it is being sold at a positive price. It is in a typical Mallorcan design. From the entrance, one directly reaches the living room with its open fire-place. This room is used as the living and dining room. The living room is separated by a round arch from the dining room. Through the dining room you can access the patio (inner court), that was beautifull designed. This patio is an oasis of peace and comfort. Here you can spend your evenings enjoying relaxation and complete privacy. There is a WC with shower in one small workshop where a roof must be installed. The living room also comes with a modern fitted kitchen. Here there is a traditional Mallorcan stove which is nothing more than a covered open fire-place. You can even cook in the stove. Before the living room and the kitchen, there is a small storeroom on the left side under the stair. The stairway to the first upper floor leads from the living room where there is another living room, bathroom and a bedroom. The upper living room can be used as a guest room. The bathroom has been beautifully designed and renovated with good taste. In the first upper floor there is also a small terrace with a view of the romantic patio. In the attic there is a sunroof which can not be seen by the neighbors. Here you can lay out and tan your whole body. From here there is an indescribable view in all directions of the roofs of the village all the way up to the Tramauntana mountains on the left and the mountains of Arta across. The roof is covered with typical terracotta tiles. The house has beautiful ceramic tiles. As you see in the pictures, there are traditional decorative ceiling beams.
