| Short description of the castle:
The castle and its property are surrounded by fields and woodland. It can best be accessed from the south by the A 20 (highway from Berlin to Stralsund). This trip is approximately two hours.
Castle, stables and horseback riding are some of the features.
This is a neogothic castle of unusually vast proportions. A merlon wreath, a merlon slender as well as many brick turrets are features of the castle. The architect's plan for the castle was designed by Frederick August Stüler (1800-1865). At the same time - in about 1840 - Peter Joseph Lenné (1789-1866) designed the park. The same stylistic elements that were used in the castle's shape are very apparent in the outward appearance and the facade of the stables. Two sculpted horse heads on a junction refer to the function of the building.
